The fifth gallery is a compendium of the role of Praja Mandals and Praja Parishads in Rajasthan.
These institutions emerged as an outcome of people’s movements in the state. Praja Mandals and Praja Parishads not only stirred a political awakening and enlightened people to voice their rights but also shook different state administrations through their demands for a ‘responsible government’ and ‘representation’. These movements led the way for reflecting improvements in education, administration and taxation structure, etc. Besides, the gallery will also showcase the role of literature and the press during the Freedom Movement in Rajasthan.
