The end of the 19th century saw a conscious effort made by some individuals and organisations against the feudal system, outmoded social customs, and agrarian-related grievances. These efforts found expression in movements like Bijolia, Shekhawati, Begun and Parsoli. These movements focused on agrarian rights, abolition of forced labour (begaar), and the exploitative jagirdari system, and helped in spreading liberal ideas. With an assemblage of interactive kiosks and graphic panels, this gallery apprises visitors of the People’s Movements in Rajputana.
